EXHIBITION "TREES"
From June 1 to September 30, 2022
La Gacilly Photo Festival (56)
Among the 22 exhibitions presented this year on the occasion of the 19th edition of the photographic festival at La Gacilly, a veritable "open-air art gallery", is a selection of images taken from the latest Reporters Without Borders album: TREES. Since its inception, this collection has been mobilized for the environment and green journalism. 100 photos of trees for press freedom is in line with this commitment because how can we defend our planet if journalists are not free to investigate environmental scandals?
Laurent Baheux contributes to this collector's album which invites 100 great names in photography including Yann Arthus-Bertrand, Henri Cartier-Bresson, Catalina Martin-Chico, Steve McCurry, Vincent Munier, Sebastião Salgado or Sabine Weiss and with a foreword by Sylvain Shard. His Cheetah and Acacia portrait, with its distinctive monochrome style, can be seen in very large format at La Gacilly and alongside other activist artists. The review is available online on the RSF website. Let's visit and support the associations working in the field.
